Text Box: Maryann Angeroth My Philosophy of Education   Education is empowerment.  It challenges, enables, creates and enlightens.  British Philosopher Herbert Spencer’s quote; ‘To prepare us for complete living is the function which education has to discharge’ sums up my philosophy of education.  My goal as an educator of educators is to provide the tools, resources, and skills to teachers so that they can discover. They in turn will use these same tools with their students.   Tom Robbins, a twentieth century author says that “the brain is an educational toy.”  It is time to take it out and play.  The 21st Century is such an amazing age for education.  There is a multitude of information available at our fingertips.  Access to information and how to use that information is the soul of education.  It is the foundation.      Standard 4
