Early Childhood

Program consultation is available to support planning and implementation for early childhood programs and district classrooms serving children from three to eight years of age. For more information or to answer questions, please contact: Pam Elwood

Early Childhood/Special Education

This program identifies children (Birth-5) with disabilities, refers children to community agencies, and trains parents in techniques that will help with positive child growth. It helps develop programs in public schools and provides home visiting services, as well as center-based services to preschool-aged children. F.A.M.I.L.Y. A program that offers support to families with children birth through three years of age. Parents are provided with practical hands on learning experiences in areas such as child development, behavior management, problem-solving, and self-esteem. F.A.M.I.L.Y. also serves as a link between families and other community resources.

Early ACCESS is a partnership between families with young children, birth to age three, and providers from the Departments of  Education, Public Health, Human Services, and Child Health Specialty Clinics.  The purpose of this program is for families and staff to work together in identifying, coordinating and providing needed services and resources that will help the family assist their infant or toddler to grow and develop.
