Technical Assistance Consultants (Behavior Team)
Behavior Team Mission Statement
It is the mission of the Green Hills AEA Behavior Team to support
learning for students age 3 to 21 displaying serious behavior concerns
by providing services to schools that promote respect, compassion, and
positive behavior supports enabling every learner to perform at his or
her highest level within a safe, healthy, and least restrictive
environment.
Services provided by the Behavior Team
Development of the Behavior Team (Technical Assistance Consultants) is a
collaborative effort of the Iowa Department of Education, the Center for
Disabilities and Development at the University of Iowa Children’s
Hospital, and Iowa Area Education Agencies.
The
Green Hills AEA Behavior Team offers the following services:
Services include:

Training in the following areas:
· FBA / BIP training to AEA and LEA staff
· Mandt / CPI training to LEA staff
· Staff training on Behavior management / proactive strategies, goal
writing, and progress monitoring
· Consultation on designing / redesigning programs serving students with
challenging behaviors
